Lead Designer

WomenStrong International partners with women-led organizations around the world to advance women’s health, rights, and well-being. Through trust-based philanthropy, WomenStrong equips its grantee partners to lead change in their own communities and share what works with others.

What the Client Needed

After 10 years of global impact, WomenStrong International was ready to launch a refreshed brand. The goal: reintroduce themselves to longtime supporters, build trust with new audiences, and break through the noise of year-end fundraising—all while staying grounded in their values of solidarity, dignity, and local leadership.

What We Did

We built a campaign that combined emotional storytelling with a clean, modern brand reveal. Our strategy centered on highlighting powerful narratives of impact from WomenStrong’s global partners to create a campaign that felt human, grounded, and urgent—without relying on traditional donation appeals.

We designed a campaign identity that complemented the new brand, leveraged strong visuals, and embraced a multi-channel communications strategy. At every stage, we focused on clarity, dignity, and resonance with values-aligned audiences.

Developed the campaign strategy and messaging framework. Planned and managed “Strong Women, Stronger World” from concept to close, including campaign architecture, messaging hierarchy, and a multi-phase content strategy designed to reintroduce WomenStrong’s refreshed brand while deepening emotional connection with supporters.

Wrote all campaign content across channels. Created the full body of written content for the campaign: three long-form blog posts, a complete email marketing series, and social media copy across platforms written in WomenStrong’s voice and tailored to each stage of the supporter journey (introduce, deepen, ask).

Designed a bold, values-driven creative system. Produced striking campaign graphics aligned with the new brand, combining clarity, warmth, and professionalism to cut through the noise of year-end fundraising season.

Managed end-to-end campaign execution. Scheduled and published all social media content, deployed all email campaigns, and owned day-to-day campaign operations throughout the fundraising quarter.

Centered ethical storytelling rooted in dignity and partnership. Co-wrote three feature stories alongside WomenStrong’s grantee partners — covering political participation and labor rights, youth empowerment, and economic power — ensuring informed consent, collaborative narrative shaping, and the use of real photography to authentically honor the women featured.

Equipped stakeholders for amplification. Produced a custom fundraising guide for staff and board members with ready-to-use email templates, social copy, and phone scripts — so the whole organization could show up confidently for the campaign.

Delivered a full analytics report. Synthesized campaign performance data at close, tracking growth, engagement, and audience demographics — providing WomenStrong with a clear picture of impact and a benchmark for future campaigns.

Through WomenStrong’s programs, I have discovered the power of documentation. Writing down experiences has power. It preserves history and builds a knowledge bank to share with others.” – JUDITH CHIANGWA, THE GIRLS’ LEGACY, ZIMBABWE
